ACADEMIC ADVISOR KAY RIPPELMEYER-TIPPY

Kay Rippelmeyer-Tippy has been a College of Liberal Arts advisor since 1989 and an SIUC employee since 1976. She received a bachelor of arts in 1975 from the University of Illinois and a master of arts in English from SIUC in 1978, graduating summa cum laude.

Kay was awarded two graduate fellowships in 1975 and 1979, a Juried Competition Award for Creative Achievement, Women's Studies, 1994, and the 1997-98 Delta Award from Friends of Morris Library, SIUC, in recognition of significant contribution to understanding and appreciating life in southern Illinois.

Besides her 80 percent College of Liberal Arts advisement appointment, Kay is working as a researcher and consultant for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
